Investigations in Education Settings: Support from Brightcore Consultancy
Education settings are occasionally required to conduct investigations when a complaint or grievance has either been made about the school/college, or about the conduct of a member of staff. As you may be aware Local Authorities are not required to investigate complaints or grievances against a school/college, which means the responsibility for conducting the investigation falls to the school/college.
At Brightcore Consultancy we offer a flexible service to support schools/colleges with such investigations. We are happy to conduct full investigations on your behalf or to also as specialised consultants to support your own investigating officer, depending on your needs.
We also provide specific half-day training courses focused on managing allegations effectively, to provide Heads, Governors, HR Teams and Senior Leaders with the knowledge and understanding to ensure all necessary requirements are adhered to, in line with statutory guidance, including Keeping Children Safe in Education.
