A variety of DSL/DDSL training options to suit your needs
At Brightcore we design and deliver a range of high quality, certified, interactive courses to support DSL and DDSLs which all include up-to-date research and a focus on case management using Local Safeguarding Partnership procedures. We work with a number of Local Authorities to improve their safeguarding training provision and also Trusts, School & College partnerships/groups, and individual schools & colleges who wish to organise bespoke high-quality and cost-effective DSL/DDSL training ‘in-house’.

New to the role of DSL/DDSL (2 Day Course)

DSL/DDSL Refresher Training (1 Day Course)

Safeguarding Compliance Annual Update for DSL's/Senior Teams (Half Day Course)
(Delivered either face-to-face or live-online depending on your preference.)

We also offer individual places on our 'open' Designated Safeguarding Lead Refresher courses for schools and colleges who just want to book an individual place.
We also offer a range of specialised workshops for DSLs/DDSLs (usually 2-3 hours each) who want a more specific focus on emerging trends, research, resources, and responses to a range of key safeguarding topics. Topics we regularly deliver are:

Each of the above sessions can either be delivered individually or combined into a bespoke full day. A number of Trusts and School/Colleges we work with also opt to schedule half-termly or termly updates for their team of DSLs/DDSLs on the above topics on a rolling basis as evidence of good practice and as part of their Service Level Agreement with us – please get in touch if this is something you’d be interested in arranging.
