Ollie has worked with us in Wiltshire Council for nearly three years now developing and supporting our DSL training programme. As a HR Leader, I often run Wellbeing Programs. Mental Health is a huge topic in the workplace and it’s imperative that we support our employees. I booked my Mental Health First Aid Training via Brightcore Consultancy as they are experts in the field of Mental Health awareness.

This 3 day course has been absolutely brilliant, although a huge amount has been covered, it has not been overwhelming and Ollie was realistic about time frames and expectations. His delivery was excellent, he was so knowledgeable and had a manner that made him easy to listen to, also good use of participation in the break out rooms.

Where to begin. Ollie and Anisha were fantastic from start to finish. They explained the functions of Zoom to all at the beginning which is great if you are only used to using Teams. It felt relaxed and comfortable without seeming to regimented. The speakers were so inspiring and open. Normally with topics of this nature you find it difficult to find the balance, however they all delivered such different techniques. I couldn’t of asked for a better session and I know all the delegates we invited really enjoyed the day. I look forward to working with them both again !

Five-Star Exceptional Safeguarding Review!
During our last Ofsted inspection, I (as DSL) was asked, 'How do you know your Safeguarding arrangements are effective?" I felt uncomfortable with my answer having only just joined a Trust, and feeling that internal reviews often find few areas for improvement; I felt that I wanted something more rigorous to test our arrangements.

We booked a Safeguarding Review through Brightcore as a way of preparing for our next inspection. The information shared in the lead up to the day, along with the review of our website and policies, was comprehensive and enabled me to utilise the consultants' time in school effectively. Within the first 15-minutes of the onsite visit, I knew we had made the right decision! The consultant was challenging, yet supportive, knowledgeable and open to discussion.
The review was incredibly thorough, covering all the Safeguarding Standards, and the good practice recommendations are so useful. Furthermore, I feel that, in an area where there is little validation for such important work, my efforts to safeguard our pupils, families and staff are recognised and effective - I feel incredibly confident, should I be asked the same question again.
I look forward to working with Brightcore again in the future and cannot recommend this service enough!
