At Brightcore Consultancy, we work with schools, colleges, trusts and other education settings across England to provide high-quality, cost-effective safeguarding and mental health training, support and external review services.

Our SLA subscriptions are designed to give schools and colleges a practical and affordable way of accessing live, expert-led training, high-quality safeguarding resources, consultation support, reduced rates on a wide range of additional services, and subsidised access to our wider review and quality assurance framework.

Our approach combines national best practice with a clear focus on the realities facing education settings. This means schools and colleges benefit not only from expert training and support, but also from wider insight drawn from our work across the sector.

For individual schools and colleges, we currently offer two main SLA subscription options, alongside Bespoke SLA packages for settings that require something more tailored.​
 

Standard SLA

​Our Standard SLA is designed for schools and colleges that want a clear, practical annual package of support, combining live DSL training, key safeguarding resources, consultation support and reduced-price access to additional services.

The Standard SLA includes:
 

• Annual live DSL Refresher / Update training for each named DSL / DDSL covered by the subscription band

• One place on the Brightcore New to DSL course per school or college

• Access to Brightcore 7-Minute Briefings

• Access to Brightcore whole-staff safeguarding training slides and trainer notes

• Access to the Brightcore annual KCSIE certified knowledge checker quiz for staff

• Telephone and email consultation support for subscriber schools and colleges

• A 25% discount on Brightcore live-online courses

• Subsidised access to Brightcore’s external review and award framework (including our full and focused Safeguarding Reviews, Mental Health and Wellbeing Reviews and the Brightcore Excellence in Safeguarding Awards)

This means schools and colleges with a Brightcore SLA subscription can access reduced rates on a wide range of additional live-online safeguarding and mental health training, while also benefiting from a more affordable route into Brightcore’s wider external review and quality assurance offer.​​

Enhanced SLA

Our Enhanced SLA is designed for schools and colleges that would like a broader package of support across both safeguarding and mental health.

The Enhanced SLA includes everything within the Standard SLA, plus:

 

• Two places per school or college across the year on Brightcore DSL Masterclass sessions

• One accredited Mental Health First Aid training place for smaller schools and colleges, or two accredited places for larger settings, depending on the subscription band

This option is often particularly helpful for schools and colleges that want to strengthen both safeguarding leadership and wider mental health provision in a cost-effective way, while also retaining access to Brightcore’s wider review and improvement framework.

• Managing Allegations training: £60 + VAT with an SLA subscription (£80 + VAT without) per person
   

• Understanding the Single Central Record: £60 + VAT with an SLA subscription (£80 + VAT without) per person
   

• Safer Recruitment: £75 + VAT with an SLA subscription (£100 + VAT without) per person
   

• Designated Senior Mental Health Lead training: £390 + VAT with an SLA subscription (£520 + VAT without) per person
   

• Mental Health First Aid training: £120 + VAT with an SLA subscription (£160 + VAT without) per person
